funny/gross story

ok, i was at damansara specialist hospital to get my back checked up. so me and paola(my girlfriend) decided to have lunch at the cafeteria there. She got some rice and veggies and went to the table. I waited for my nasi goreng and then joined her. I asked her why she wasn't eating yet and she said "...I can't eat" and she gingerly looked down on her plate. I was quite confused till i examined her plate closely...there on top of her rice majestically placed was a dead COCKROACH! Talk about grossssssss...... And in a hospital somemore! At this point i was thinking if i should have made a big fuss and yelled out "Cockroach in the rice!!!". Instead i took the plate, brought it to the counter, waited till there were no customers and showed the cashier our little present. The guy looked at me quizically at first, as if to say "whats up buddy?" until he glanced down and saw mr.cockroach with his feet up in the air on the rice. He went "ohh...shhhhhiiii..." and immediately grabbed the plate out of my hands. He asked me if i wanted to get the food replaced but paola was having none of it. Instead we got our refund and she ate some buns instead.

Now...in this situation, should i have made more of a fuss i wonder. I could have literally made the cafe run out of business or have their license revoked. I could have shoved the plate in front of the cashier while he was serving the customer and freaked out a whole bunch of people and cause chaos. I could have kept the plate, take a record of the cockroach and sued the cafe/hospital. But this being malaysia, i thought that it wouldn't have made a difference anyway. Even if the cafe gets replaced, the replacement wouldn't be any better i think. Its the mentality over here. I dunno, but its too late now even if i complain about it to the hospital.

well, i guess this might spread to become an urban legend...except its based on fact!
